Is this happening again this year, missed it last year cause of evil work, and looking to book some time off for a road trip up north to start the season, with the boys.

Exmouth Expo dates are set at 3/10 to 8/10
Same as last year with a morning meeting at Yardie Homestead Caravan Park and BBQ and drinks each night there as well.
We are currently organising a band at the Exmouth Yacht club on the final night so accommodation in town for the 8/10 is recommended.
Pm me your email to register and I will send any updates straight to you
cheers

Sorry everyone
Just noticed I had the start of the Expo as 3/10. It should of read 2/10 to the 8/10.
Any way thats an extra day of kiting.
Numbers are already looking good and we are starting to get some confirmations from the manufacturers, Although we will be securing different brands right up to the event.
I don't suppose anybody can fit a slider or kicker in the back of their car on the way up.
We might be able to organise a club day where we build something here at the yacht club anyway.
Any other ideas?

Hi Guys

Can't wait for the expo this year! We'll be delaying the opening of the school and our shop to enjoy some real wind at reasonable temperatures for a week to get the blood pumpin' again before we kick off!

BRING IT ON BABY!

What is everyone doing for accomodation? It'll be last minute for me because of work. Are most camping? If I don't have anyone to drive with I'll fly I guess. If I fly what are hire car rates like up there?

Beware of mr & mrs hitler, they pretend to be dog lovers, donate your bond to the flying doc's(great charity) and then, in his words," you people come up here from perth and think you can do what ever you want". The manager and his wife put a real dampner on what was a great expo last year for my family. Would of taken the matter further with the owners but they were away on holidays and when the dust had settled just kinda thought it was'nt worth it.

Walks i take you wont be staying at Yardie Creek Caravan Park this year then???

Doesn't sound good as if you read the event update posted today this will be the wind down venue at the end of each day

Also of interest is the Yachting silver card membership which it sounds like is
compulsory personal injury insurance

All good mark, you don't have to stay there to enjoy scott & emma's hospitality, its really chilled out and you come and go as you please, just a shame my wife and dog won't be coming this year!

Thats right weta as for us (Exmouth kiters) to insure our own event it is the only way we can do it affordably.
The Exmouth kiters donate time and our own personal gear for the expo.
Any profits not used for the expo will go to improving kiting in our local area and creating a better expo for next year rather than going purely to kiteboarding in Perth only.
I am a member of WAKSA and I believe we still need a central association however it is the local clubs which can resolve local problems.
I understand AKSA is working to include local clubs under their banner however it will not be in time for the expo.
So untill then we will use what we have and those without a silver card will have to pay an extra $12 per day.
Hope to see you all up here and you can all enjoy some Exmouth hospitality
And Walks I am sorry about your experience with the caravan park but if a caravan park says dogs on leash then dogs must be on leash and you did get a warning
cheers
