Every so often when driving home i see a couple of kites out near Eglinton rocks and from Ocean Drive it looks like they are a good 1-2km+ out. Today i saw them again so i went up to Shorehaven and it looks like an interesting spot but also looks pretty dicey? From Shorehaven it still looks like a long way out but from Alkimos / Eden beach, it might not be that far? Does the reef provide a bit of protection from the chop?

Too late to edit but i think Eglinton Rocks are to the north of Shorehaven so it wasnt there? This spot is maybe 1km south of Alkimos wreck. All i can see is Pamela Shoal and Alkimos reef in front of Alkimos Beach estate?
