Hey Everyone,

Seems the stats say the "off" season can have a lot of easterly, from straight to NE to SE.... Question is what are the best spots around perth +/- an hours drive to get these spots??? Been on the river 3 times and was dissapointed twice... anyways if you have any info let me know.

Looks like we may have the juice on this coming long weekend!! Even though it is Easterlies.

I don't want to miss out, but I've never kited on the river, so am unsure of where.

Is there a map or other guidance somewhere that shows exactly where the spots are to catch the Easterlies? Don't want to waste time driving around trying to find launch spots.

Is there a map showing launch spots on the river?

don't worry you won't miss out on the river, id rather sit it out for the 40knot fronts personally but if you do go out, my advise is to rig big. the wind can be a bit gusty and you may need that extra 2m to punch through the holes/windshadows at the northerly end of the point

One of the better spots on a north east but not a beginners spot. A tricky launch, lots of hard things directly downwind of you, the channel is busy with boats and the wind has a habit of switching on and off.
