Not sure if you are talking about the same person but I heard of an accident at Cott mid last month on a strong frontal westerly. Apparently the kite was attached to a wooden post on the beach when a gust came through which pulled the post out of the ground and dragged him onto the dunes. My mate, who is a firie, is his work colleague and told me that he now has serious spinal injuries. Pls stay safe out there.
