Cool! I am little bit behind you, I struggled to get up in on my switch side last session, but as soon as i get that happening more reliably iI'll be ready for dowinders! Cant wait for that. So far I have only kited solo twice, and only at Shoalwater, which is a good spot because if you get stuck you will eventually get blown back into the bay :)

Kite at 12
Dive the kite and stand up on the board
Kite back to 12 and sit back in the water
Repeat, repeat, repeat,
It gives a great feel and understanding of what's required power delivery wise on your water starts
I drum this into people on outward and inward tacks,
You, your kite spends more time above and on the water than in it,
When confident you add some meterage to your runs
