You guessed correct my friend, easterlies could be good if you live near an estuary or some form of inland water body, you could try Australind maybe, I'm not sure were to go out there as I've never kited it, but keep an eye out for explosives if you do......

Easterlies are the bomb for the south coast

Thanks for the replys. Yeh i'm actually livin in Australind and i kite at the estuary which needs westerlys. I guess i could always drive to mandurah for easterlys !

I tried to kite hamlin bay on an easterly the day of the Anaconda in Augusta.....it looked so perfect about 20knts SE

Put kite up little bit gusty.....thought I can ride cross wind at worst and pull up on beach towards boranup way a bit...
I was totally wrong wind was so holey my 10m kite was dropping straight out of sky then powering up off the chain not allowing me to depower enough to get an edge on the water...

Yep straight off shore no good.. I was about 30 secs away from letting the kite go.. got a really lucky break in the wind headed for the coats til I could touch sand, released the safety swam in and was stocked I still had a kite.
