Flat water area generally closes mid afternoon if evening fire works get the go ahead, generally busy with dinghy/dragon boat racing with sea rescue & various officials/authorities in attendance. Jays waves area generally unaffected by the River Fest events but we've also been experiencing beach closure occasionally in the past week due to ocean species spawn (a lovely brown snot like substance). Please plan your long weekend accordingly.

Well said and thanks for making people aware..
It's not all about you,kiters!x
Looks south anyway..

Actually truth is you'll find me in the curry van making an ayurvedic recipe that weekend
The morrocan food vans pretty good too

I'll award a duotone click bar and maybe some quobba fins to any kiter with the most etiquette and restraint. Oh right...sorry...it's augusta.. maybe some little twintip fins or something.. ..
Actually maybe I'll just donate a 2009/10 slingshot bar as I have too many...as a thankyou..

And a free meal to whoever is the most vegan looking and smoothie making customer that I recognise from seeing them on the water at some stage

Thankyou for your diplomacy

Fireworks have been canned, night time lantern parade and performances on instead...don't know if that'll affect flatwater access.
