The cerberus lies at the foot of a cliff...probably turbulence.

The Cerberus it refers to is the Navy base on westernport bay..........not the wreck at Black Rock

Cheers...I have always wondered why someone would put an anemometer in such a terrible spot. That said the Cerberus graph seems to do its own thing very often, does anyone know if it's affected by something?

It's pretty free from any obstructions although there is a slight rise in the ground on the SW of the gauge. IMO it under estimates the wind strength, I find it better to average the reading between SC and Cerb and that is a better reading
