I'm heading up that way this week and was looking to go for a kite in Sydney when its good and I'd be more than happy if you want to tag along . I'll be staying in Double Bay so it would only be a short ferry ride over to the North Shore.

I don't know the spots though but nothing a little research (or a friendly Sydney kiter on seabreeze ) couldn't fix.
