Old mate said he had no issues at the rowers lake .
Lane markers were no problem, they aren't connected at the surface .
Try not to land on the M1 hey ! LOL

Long time lurker... first time posting..
student of the best.. very noobie...
Below is a copy and pasted response via Face Book from the local member regarding the use of Regatta Waters Lake Coomera for kiting.

Ben,

Yes you can use lake for individual non motorised watersports.

Lots of walkers near lakes edge so be mindful of that.

There are Clubs that have some Right of Use privileges (i.e. electric motor boats) but common sense would see you away from them.

Water quality. Not recommended for swimming because it is not tidal so not a lot of exchange (tested monthly however and no known issues).

More importantly no guarantee there are not bull sharks in lake as Coomera River does enter lake when flooding occurs.
