Was at the Southport Parkland Rally today and there was quite a good turn out particularly for ominous looking weather. It was good to see quite a few Kiting buddies there showing their support at the rally of this proposed TOTAL IRRESPONSIBLE, ENVIRONMANTAL VANDALISM, PUBLIC OWNED LAND GRAB, that will only create jobs to International 457 Visa people and the Island wholly owned by Chinese Interests that have intentions of turning it into another HONG KONG ISLAND in Queensland. If you weren't there or could not attend because of some absolute life threatening reason and kite in the Broady then it would be great if you could still lend your support by going online to GECKO's website and filling out the online partition and emailing or writing to your Local and State Member, Campbel Neuman and Geoff Seeny, voicing your opinion that you are DEAD AGAINST this type of development proposal or any other future development proposal on OUR! Wave Break Island and that the Broadwater needs to be left in its natural beauty and pristine condition for OUR! future generations to enjoy as we do OUR very few bits of FREE REMAINING PARADISE.

I heard the boys were looking a little pale when they investigated the flood insurance position...

Insurers got caned in Brisbane a few years back and are a little gun-shy when it comes to flood risk.
