Hey just wondering if anyone is in the Whitsundays area that's into kitesurfing? I've got my own boat and want to start doing some trips to Whitehaven beach let me know cheers

Tides are way too strong and wind is gusty at the best of times, best to enjoy all of the other things on offer.

let me know how you find the conditions. I'll be up that way in Feb for a week on a rental yacht and want to know if it's worth bringing my gear.

Kited Whitehaven a couple of times a few months back - same sort of thing, a few weeks on a boat.
Very good on the SE which is the usual direction.
Mid to low tides are best
Closest anchorage in SE is Tongue Bay (can be noisy with charter boats)
Dumbell reef another nice anchorage with mooring lines and great snorkelling on eastern edge
