You're right on the money, Kingscote is the only option for anything that doesn't have north in it. I've kited there, out from the sailing club and its alright. Also kited Island Beach (American River) in a northerly which was great. If you get northerly's of any great strength all the anchorages on the north coast are no good (uncomfortable or dangerous if really howling) except American River (And Penneshaw of course), so you will probably end up back that way. To be honest it can be very frustrating there because the winds often cranking from the south, especially in Nov. Great for sailing and anchorages, **** for kiting. If its cranking from the north, your skipper will probably be trying to seek shelter and you'll be begging to get the kite out haha.
Hey guys, are there any other spots in a SE to SW? As this tends to be the predominant wind on KI. On the south coast? Like D'estrees Bay or Vivonne Bay? Cheers
