i have been using cabrinha sync bindings loved them but they continued to break.
i then bought liquid force comp straps found the pads hard and slippery (need a toe grip),
persisted with them and whilst doing a KL backroll my foot came out and i broke it on landing.
i want to know what people think are the best pads.

i think i might be able to use spleene diamond pads (have a toe grip, look soft)
with my LF straps but need a WA supplier if any one knows one.

Check out "Cardboards" website. Dan has some great pads on his boards, i'm sure he'd sell them seperatly. They're super cumpfy and have a nice toe grip. Also you do the laces up once and lock them away, and from then on you just wiggle your foot into position. My feet never come out

I have Diamonds on HP RIP excellent pads with great toes grip, Cabrinha Syncs just crap in comparison, but they are not soft, my toes used to bleed every time after 4 or 5 hrs session,( because of the straps) to give them a rest I had to switch to my other board with OR Bliss pads in my opinnion Bliss are most comfy with good grip but Diamonds do beat them as far as toe grip is concerned, Ian Young should help you with those.
I dont have bleeding toes any more every time I ride HP RIP I do plaster them very well
If you use diffrent straps with Diamond pads you wont have that problem anyway.(

Are those Syncs the 2010 or the 2009 model?

Mate I've put underground straps (08 ones) on the crapinha sync pads. They are the sh!t.

I reckon you could do the same with the liquid force straps and your sync pads.

I made the switch from Cab Sync's to LF Comp Laces recently after my Sync's bit the dust for the final time. Yes the Comp Lace's take a little bit of getting used to given the complete lack of foot pad grip, but they're definitely worth it. I found that i have to strap my foot down a little tighter than usual so the pad compresses under my foot, then it never moves and never comes out.
Previously i was using Cab Sync pads with old '06 Naish straps and aside from the lack of comfort from the strap, that wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be.

Is it just the lack of grip on the pad that you dislike with the Comp Laces?

left foot continually comes out no matter how tight. could be a rider issue.

Have you tried adjusting the angle of the straps/pads so you can duck-foot it when you really want to lock in?
I guess you could always use the heel straps that they come with.

I'll admit that the first two sessions i had the LF Comp Lace's i wasn't entirely sure they were going to hold my feet in, but after a little adjustment i'm liking the pads much more than the Sync ones. Soooooo comfy!

i ride with a reasonable amount of duck and changed angle to see if it helped
from letting go but it didnt.
tried the heel straps and didnt like them.
even scuffed the pads continually with sand to see if the slip would go away, think if i just have a toe grip and a grippier pad the straps would hold.

Have you tried pairing the LF Comp Lace straps with the Sync pads?
Before you go spending more money... might as well explore all options available to you.

Wisha, Diamonds have very good arch support as good( if not a bit better) as Ocean Rodeo Bliss or Flyradical ( the pads on the last two are the same just the strap system diffrent).
The only issue I have with Diamonds is the straps ,just too firm for my big toes, but if you put some plaster on not a problem and if the whole thing is connected to HP RIP Tthat weights 2.5 kg and fly trough the air almost on its own the problem is even smaller.

Cheers Cezary. I've currently got Ocean Rodeo pads! Good to know there are some other similar options (arch support=far less knee problems)
