I don't know how the new Envy's are, but I flew the 014's and thought it was an "ok" wave kite. It just wasn't responsive enough (kind of slow at the bar) and a better freestyle-wakestyle kite. They may have improved.

I have an Airush Wave. Whoa! It's my favorite kite in and out of the waves. That said it flies a little more forward in the window than some wave kites, but in mostly onshore conditions and down the line, I never noticed it being an issue. Just something else to consider. Try one if you have the chance.

Hey Thruster, been using 2015 Drifters lately, will lay back in the window and let you enjoy riding the wave.Their quick and responsive but solid and positive feel.2016 Drifters have onshore or offshore side shore wind adjustment on front lines on leading edge.Try with the new Trimlight overdrive bar.Very impressed:)

Try out a Reo. Drift when you want them to, power up quickly when you need it and still go upwind quite well.

Demo the Slingshot Wave SST, it sits forward to allow it to drift then you can work it back into the wind with the apparent wind it generates. The drift aspect is outstanding great feel through the bar, & super tough construction.

Check out the Airush wave, the Ozone Reo easy to get a demo of each.

Have not flown the new Liquid force WoW wave kite but could be worth a look also

Are you actually referring to flying deeper in the wind window like a C-kite does?
