i went to england on the 6th. during my holiday i made friends with the guys from H2O and they let me have a play on a Torch and Vegas.
Then Justin from S2AS knows my dad and he let me try out his Fuel.

Torch:
the conditions wer shocking wen i tried this kite out, i had a 12 and a 9 on me, 24 knots gusting 30. i went out on the 9 and wow its a nippy little basterd!! it was a bit weak at times but nice wen the wind was getting stronger. it loops quite nicely, i tried a little jump with a loop to see wat it does first as it was the first time kiting on a c kite since i sold my ckites in september (i was a kook then). it is a nice feeling kite with solid bar pressure, easy to relaunch. later i used the 12 wen wind smoothed out abit and dropped off, the 12 was nice but it was a bit slow, i didnt have the naish bar at that point as the trim strap snapped and i ended up having to use a north bar wich worked alright, definitly a good kite i thought with solid loops and nice unhooking ability. 8/10

Vegas:
Vegas was sweet, i had a 14m out because they didnt have a 12 for me to use, it was fast, very fast actually, faster then the 12 torch was. andy was down in the water and told me to try a pull up so he can see how im doing with them, i was a bit too powered for that kinda stuff though, these kites are great for unhooked tricks and its sweet for boosting to but its downfall was with the loops, it just didnt give me that yank the torch was delivering. i had a talk with andy, he deals with north and he agreed that the vegas isnt a good looping kite. this kite is one sick beeast for newschool though and makes learning loops and those kinda things a bit easier. i give it a good 7/10

Fuel:
Wow.. that kite blew my mind!!! i was on a 13m just able to stay up wind at the start, i really threw the kite to see how much air i cud get from it expecting like a 1m hop or something.. i was completely wrong!!! i got flung up it was intence! later on it was pickin up n i was lit, man this kite is of the hooooook for hooked and unhooked kiteloops and wake tricks, u can unhook wen ur fully lit up and still manage ur speed so you can get HUGE pop! ive never railied so big in my life before!! this kite is like a masterpiece, perfectly engineered to make u crap ya wetty . the only down side on this kite was it was a litte hard to relaunch at times, i think it was to do with my tuning though and im used to launching round winged bows n stuff so it would b a little hard anyway. Another good thing on this kite was the verasitility, the vegas and torch had kook proof connections and only one setting on the kite, the fuel had 3 pigtail options and 3 knots on each so there were many combinations you could use, surf to kill the kite a bit and make it nice in waves, free ride which cranks up the power but slows the kite a bit and wake wich cranks up even more power but slows it down a lil more once again! a definite 9.5/10 for this bad boy,

no unfortunately it was 07 gear, cant wait for the 08 torch! i decided upon getting a torch because A) very similar to fuel B) easier to relaunch and C)not as common as fuels

oh and a review for the Vapor aswell:
grabbed the 10m from Airbourne and WOW wat a insanely fast kite, too fast actually! first test day was 20 - 25 on average and i was lit up, send kite just past 12, sheet in up you go! and what nice hangtime aswell, or you can send it like a c kite and get a nice on one spot kind of jump going aswell. Kite loops are very very smooth, you dont feel the yank and g force as much as you do on the Torch's and Fuel's but you notice the speed when you are coming down at mach5! the loops are very controlable aswell with the speed the kite flies at, crank it slow and get a big deep loop with heeps of rip and grunt or a quick one above to soften landings a bit. and the range is excellent, being only 76 - 78kg and able to ride in 20 - 25 gusting 29 on it is nuts!

It did take me a while to get tuned into though and I didnt have a chance to test it riding unhooked really because the conditions never favoured it. the 10m would perform alot better if it was on lets say a 45 or 50cm bar instead of the 55, itl dum down the turning a bit and make it more managable for average every day riders. this kite definitly would give intermediate riders progressing on tricks the confidence to go harder as it is very forgiving depending on where the stopper is set ;) 8/10
