They are a bear to get on in deep water. If you can beach start, they're awesome, but it takes a bit of finesse to get them on in deep water. Off is easy.. on is.. interesting.
Also if you take a look at the review link I posted above, you can see that they're some of the heaviest boots on the market. On the flipside they are a lot stiffer and do allow you tighten them way down before you even hit the water, so there's that.
Some people care about the swing weight of their gear (board + boots), some people don't.
Also.. the first gen of the System bindings was absolute ****. They've come a long way, but it takes a while to shake that first impression.
