just a bit side tracked i was just saying that the range is huge the sweet spot is huge(the sweet spot being well powered as it is a verry grunty kite). so if you got a 14m riding your 131 10kts should see you on your board swinging the kite by 12kts you would be just riding kite parked small jumps unhooking etc. 15-20 well powered and jumping huge loads of pop from the kite and good speed. over 20kts not to gusty just drop a not on the middle line you could do this in the water if yo wanted or land it quick and easy gives the kite way more depower and you could go out for a session of big floaty jumps if you wanted to. That would be about the limit of the 14m with your weight and board size if your a competent rider.
The 8m on your 131tt would be riding well powered by 17kts would have to swing it in the luls ride full powered by 20 kts boosting unhooking20-30kts is the sweet spot on this kite jumps straight up huge is verry comfortable to unhook when you depower a bit and when you stack it and let go of the bar hardly pulls at all 30 to 40kts you would be lit on the standard knot but is still good but if you drop a knot it will be just well powered. the extreme top end of the kite depends on how experienced you are. normally if i ride this kite over 17kts i would be riding a 129tt lunacy which is my fav board. this kite is my faverate it just handles anything you do with it.
One of our local team riders just switched to the 8m bandit from last years 9m because it had better bottom end and top end havent ridden this years 9m yet as nearly every one gets the 10m but after riding last years 9m found that 30kts and over this kite is lit but i could have droped a not and rode a bit more depowered and comfortable. I have seen the extreme top end of the 9m and it was a verry experienced guy weighing around 110kgs out in 45kts insane.
At the end of the day you wont regret buying either the 8 or 9m as they are fantastic kites lots of grunt dont be scared of riding them powered up as that is where they excell and try droping a knot because thats what they are there fore and if you find that droping the knot has killed the power to much just pull in the straps on your bar on the back lines and the lines will be back to the original length.
hope this helps it is just what i have experienced riding the bandits last year and dos this year
