This discussion has been run before and I remember that generally the favour was deck grip.
Has a new wax been developed because nearly all the shots I see of SB with kites seem to only have a rear tail pad.
Is it only time on the water until a (soft) wax coat preforms better than a deck grip? I've got a new board and it seems a shame to cover it with grip if wax will do.
