Yeah, I flew the 9M prototype in maui severl weeks ago, and the more refined proto 9M was at our demo day last weekend.

It also has lots of lift and great stability, so it floats back with you when you have to ride towards it. The guys here were getting huge jumps from it on the weekend and are very impressed. It turns very fast but not too fast. The production Revolver will be one of or the first bridled inflato kite to have no pulleys. (the one we had on the weekend still had one each side at the kite)
The production kite will come with a convertible bar, with 15M and 7M extension lines, as an option.
Its a purpose built wave kite, refined with heaps of input from Pete Cabrinha himself. It is a further refinement of the 2006 Omega platform, with a new profile for speed and lift, this is a design created by Pat Goodwin, based on his extensive knowledge of the Legainoux bows.
Of course it can be ridden on flat water too, but its designed for riding waves.

PS - We will have production demo kites at both our stores soon and stock for sale around middle of October.

It looks a lot like a Rebel. Some have said the prototype feels similar to the Rebel also.
Though some say that the only thing they have in common is they both begin with R.

Can’t wait to try this kite... I hope it’s like a rebel in the way it fly’s and its bar feedback. Even though I am going to buy a new 9 and maybe a 12meter kite of probably north rebel or cabrinha revolver I am keeping my 07 10 meter rebel even if a local rider has already offered to buy it off me. Handy to have a backup kite when so far away fom any of the kite shops.

Mr. Relly when you coming down here for a session? Anytime this summer season?

How could that have any cred PR, the proto had pulleys??
The production kite will not have active pulleys, in 1:1 mode.
I have some pics, but not close ups. I'll post the link.
Pop up and see your old matey mate Reg he will sort you for a demo on Revolver soon.

Does not look like one eh?
Even the way it sits on the beach?

I don't think anyone here has ridden a production kite, so its all speculation and sh1tstirring at this point.

I have to agree with kp - the kite on that beach looks nothing like a rebel - the color schemes way off...actually it looks more like a north 07 rhino but without the rear canopy cutback, looks like its a hybrid of a hybrid but with pulleys and a bridle - thank god its a proto ..I wouldnt be suprised if by the time the kite hits the stores its going to look like a vegas!!

The one in the sky looks kind of like a rebel if you tilt your head to one side ... oh well time will tell huh! I hope it fly’s like a rebel..

on a serious note: are they going to bring out a pink leading edge revolver color?

I think you have to do some serious tilting to get it to look like a Northanything?

No pink, sorry, only 2 colours listed in dealer manual.
I'll see if I can drive the scanner and post it up tomorrow.

But what do you care you have already been to see Reg and ordered Reebels?

So when do these new Revolvers arrive in Aus.?

Customs must hate Cabrinha with their switchblades, crossbows and now revolvers.

kitepower me thinks this is more to do with your business decision to not stock north.
I feel your letting some emotion's out you would otherwise keep in check, and your being baited for it. chill out slow down take a breathe and rethink what's going on with you right now. I have read a lot of your thoughts in the past from a range of topics written both here and on other sites.
You have always been very passionate about the sport. However your becoming a little volitile. it's not about the pully's and the lines and the materials used or even the look of the kite it's foremost the behavior of the kite. Then comes the materials for durability purposes and then cost.

a Kite that has no similar parts or shape can fly as end result very much the same.
And then if you add a wieght belt to that same rider 2 very different kites can emerge.

Major things can occour and will when fabricating anything.
Then when you mass produce things especially year after year your going to get problems it has to happen.

goodwinds, goodfriends, sunnydays and good equipement.

Most dealers should have full stocks of Switchblades now, the official release was last Tuesday, we went live on our website on Thursday.

Revolvers are due for release Mid to end october I think?

Shops will have samples for demo soon.
Gives customs something to do and by the way us shops are part of the chain of small businesses that keeps hundreds of thousands of Australians employed and our country prosperous.
