Just wanted hear what the best bar and line are that you have ever owned and why, I am looking to buy new set and there seems to be so many different features on all the brands out there. I usually have just one bar for all my kites and I am mainly into waves, I have always had ozone in the past but there are two or three things I am not happy with on their bars so would be great to hear opinions on other brands, considering new bar and lines are now between $600 to $1000 I don't want to end up with the wrong one.
I am looking for 4 line equal length and comfy grip that lasts

Well I didn't want to go there but because you asked
The main thing is the little stainless ring that the safety clips to is known to fail when the you release the chicken loop, there is that very thin bit where the swivel attaches to the ring that snaps and then you lose the whole kite this happened to me once in Gero and kite just blew away I got it back but with damage, I also saw this happen to guy on the bommie at Exmouth he was 500m off shore got smashed on a wave released his kite and that little ring snapped and his kite blew away.
I have also heard of other cases were this has happened
From what I can see on picture of the new ozone bars they still have this same little ring, I was about to order a new ozone bar but when I noticed they had not changed it I thought not gunna risk that experience again .
I have also found on my ozone bars that the grip seems to come off in pieces due to many different pieces making up the logo on the grip,(looks like they may have improved the grip on the newer models) and yes the swollen up rusty magnets and last of all its a nightmare to change out lines.

Few lads I know have had jamming issues, I liked the look of the ocean rodeo version, made the North one look very plastic in comparison ,

I'm Ocean Rodeo affiliated but I'm sure everyone knows that by now.
Snalberski - the new OR Pilot and Shift bars have gone to a different QR this generation, easily reset, and larger 12mm PU round tube housing the main and safety lines in separate individual channels,
The bar doesn't jam on the PU for me on the Pilot bar, I haven't used the new Shift Bar yet, only got them yesterday, but they have redesigned the opening to suit the new PU so this should be a non issue.
The rear line trim bars are very nice once you get used to them, but are more exy so not for all.

Stopper works a treat.

Looks good...what type of lines do you guys use? Ozone type ones.

Can you run it as a high Y (can you change the Y height)..ie is it universal ?.

damn I've got well used ozone bars from 2012 still going strong!....lines still good. (For my sons older catalysts)

North lines suck major wang, (notice I refuse to use that other fcked name).

ozone bars no stopper, so no good for me.

Ozone lines have always been great, but 2018 they stepped it up again. Saying that, that Ocean Rodeo bar (bws as well) looks really fantastic. For someone like me with short arms reaching for the trim when way over powered is hard. Having it on the bar and adjusting from there is such a great idea so long as they don't jam. I wonder what the wear rate is on the new system is compared to a trim line?

Haven't had any issues with wear on the rear line leaders that slide through the bar. There's no teeth or anything that grips the line, no gears, simple design. The smooth bends and the composite material of the bar don't seem to wear the lines, and you can easily see those lines and the winder mechanism without removing anything to check for wear.

Havent had any jamming. If the winder does fail it will spool out to full depower, which is annoying but safest outcome.

both the leader lines and the winder mech are super easy to replace.

for me if it has a stainless swivel somewhere on the fronts I won't get it, had them break, snag and they end up being a non swivel eventually. Also like soft bar ends, btb swivel.

I was wondering what type of grip is on the latest Ocean Rodeo bar as I tried a friends Ocean rodeo a couple of years ago and kite flew well but I was only on it for 20mins and noticed my hands were a bit sore after using it, from memory it was a rubbery grip, I thought it may have been designed for those cold extreme Canadian conditions where everyone wears gloves. I am tradie so my hands usually fairly tough and thought that the Ocean rodeo might shred my hands on a three hour wave session especially when I on a kite trip and kiting everyday for hours. Cond you post close up picture of the grip?

Pilot Bar pretty standard round bar with finger dents. EVA feels more "foamy" but less cushioned than the Shift if that makes sense. Straight bar.

I've tried just about every bar .just got rid of the two most expensive. i have switches new bar ,i sent the kite back but kept the bar it's comfortable easy and clean .other wise I'd go airrush
