Hey im looking at a new waist harness, just sold my old seat harness so this will be the first waist harness. have been looking at the Pat Love and Mystic harnesses so far. any other suggestions or advice?

Definitely need to try them on for yourself.
Best advice that can be given is get to a shop that stocks a few different types and try them all on. The best fitting and most comfortable one for you might not be the be the same for everyone else!

FWIW i tried on all of North, Naish & Mystics range and found the Mystic Warrior to be the most comfortable and best fit. That said, i though i'd be a medium-large and turned out to be an x-small!?!!
I'm very glad i didn't just go and order one based on their sizing list.

I'd agree with that, the Dakine sizing is weird too ... I have a 34" waist and a large Dakine was teh best fit .. I thought I would have been medium?
