I'm new to twinskins and all I can say is that I wish I had listened to advice earlier - the venom 2 is a brilliant kite. I have sailed my 16m in approx 13 knots on a skimboard and 25 - 30 knots today (Oct 27) on a twintip - I'm 97kg. Although there were times I was holding on for dear life it still was very controllable and I felt safe in the gusty conditions.

The Venom 2 certainly does not pack the same punch as my old inflatables (Airush Halos) but it easily makes up for this with ease of handling. Gusts are easily handled and the steering can be set to be either heavy or light. The kite itself turns quickly and can still generate plenty of power.

Self launch and landing is easily learnt and mastered - even in 25 knots. Packing up is an absolute breeze. The new bar is well manufactured and comfortable - the diametre could have beed reduced a bit to aid comfort but is still comfortable to use.

The construction of the kite is excellent and I would highly recommend all kitesurfers to at least try a twinskin before you bag them (as I used to).
