I was just on the stonker website and it looks like they have Takoon kites, has anyone tried one. What are they like.

Might see if i can demo one, they look good??????

There seems to be a lot of new brands hitting the Australian market this year, its going to be hard to decide what to upgrade to.

Takoon has been available in Australia for ages. Like most of the smaller brands, its had limited takeon because most people tend to buy established brands.

I had the Nova 2 and then the Furia. The Nova was a good jumping kite and pretty fast turning for its year (2007). The Furia was probably the fastest turning kite at the time (2008) and most of the people I let ride it would give the "Wow, this thing is fast" response when they got on it. The Furia wasn't a spectacular jumping kite, but its a great kite to fly because it has such a nice feel and fast response.

Most of the guys I've seen who like the Takoon's are wave riders. The fast turning seems to appeal to them.

Alex has been selling takoon since 07, furia is quick kite (was riding them myself for a couple of years) Chimera will leave it for dead though and way out boost it,with way more hangtime.
