They are typically well built as always from slingy, This and all the kinks have been fully worked out..
Very powerful for there sizing may be a litle over sized, 11t2 has the grunt of a 15m fuel, and has that great bow depower. Super stable no inverting this sucker..
really nice bar and has the new new bar with solid alloy core wont wear out.
Puls a few new little gadgets with inflation
definetly check it out and have a demo.

Yeah, but has SS done anything about the extremely heavy bar pressure.

I had both the 10 & 12 TD1's and after use, couldn't even manage a small bat!!!! My forearms were sooo sore from the bar pressure that I could only stay on the h2o for approx 1 1/2 hours.

I hope for SS sake that they undertook community consultation before designing the new bar and line system.

First time I've heard any complaints about the bar pressure, specially when you compare it with the cross bow. Most guys used the really easy to use adjustable stopper ball so you don't have to hold the bar in, takes the pressure straight off away..
The link had no bar pressure was super fast incredibly easy to turn, but with something so high performance something had to go and it was the stability you can't make one kite for everyone.

Check the water relaunch when doing a comparison, as t2 is really easy to relaunch fast off the water.

Had a chance to demo the 11m TD2 today. Approx. 15 knots. Initial impressions were that this kite has A LOT of grunt for its size. I was flying my 14m Rebel before I hopped on the Slingshot and I felt more powered on TD2. Unfortunately, not exactly sure how TD2 was set up. Came away feeling positive about very steady low end grunt and stability. "Stable truck" came to mind. However, bar pressure was quite significant and turning speed a bit slow, even when compared to my 14m. When I grabbed my own kite after demo, it felt like it didn't have any bar pressure at all for the first 10 minutes, and I would consider it to normally have medium pressure when compared to many other 07 kites I have flown. I have flown the TD1 and I felt TD2 was much much better. Not twitchy, stays parked where you want it. I wasn't able to boost huge with it, but had good hang time with what I managed to pull off. Different timing, etc. to jumping with Rebel... However, next person to demo did boost very well considering the amount of wind. As usual, kite bag, etc. very high quality and looks like stitching on kite is also very good. Stitched and stitched again. All-in-all I was left feeling positive about the kite.

I had a fly of the 14m and 11m T2 last week.

One word......awesome.

More words.....fast turning, stable, powerful and well-built

Big improvement on the Turbo Diesel which had some issues that all first editions seem to have. Bar pressure is always subject to opinion..some like it , some don't.

Didn't crash it so i cannot comment on the relaunch. Pumping to recommended pressure was a work-out.

I have recently been riding Fuels and I found the T2 a little heavier on the arms. But I'm old and weak.

Although I sell Slingshot gear, this shallow (but short) review is my honest opinion.

To really get an opinion, come and fly one. You know where I am.

Rider level: Intermediate
Stats: 105kg 6ft tall
Board: Nobile 666 132x41
Wind: 14-15 knot
My kite: '07 Waroo 13m

I rode the 11m Turbo2 a couple of weeks ago, along with a 15m slingy fuel. Right off the bat i found the Turbo2 had as much grunt as my waroo which was honestly a suprise because my waroo has as much as my old 2006 boxer 16m. I didnt enjoy the kite that much when i flew it probably for 2 main reasons.

1. The wind: because the wind was getting towards the lower end of my windrange on my 666 i need to work any kite alot. I found that the turbo2 was very sluggish when turning. this may be to do with me comparing against the waroo which i find pivots on the spot. The Turbo2 seems to be more of a dive and park kind of kite, but in that wind it wasn't working for me.

2. the bar: I have 2 probs with the bar; firstly the bar huge pressure. This is probably me comparing against what i have ridden in the past. The 11m Turbo 2 has more bar pressure than my old 16m boxer which was strange. second is the pulleys on the bar, they prolly contributed to the rest of the probs i had.

Apart from these issues, the kite appears to be solid. when i got jumping, it was good and long for the wind. the kite looks nice amd a lot of the lads who are smaller than me enjoyed it. But probably not for me.

Thanks for all the feed back on the T2. Decided to stick with best kites and got my self a 15 m2 waroo pro 07 model. Pulls like a frieght train and have riden it to about 23 knots with no problems at all.

All i can say is Slingshot durability owns! I have dropped my TD1 in heavy surf numerous times doing stupid maneuvers and on two separate occasions snapped my lines before tearing my kite (I snapped both at once in one of the instances). You just cant break em. Hope the TD2 is as durable. I have ordered one i have just gotta save up b4 i can get it!

Took it out today! OMG what can I say... WOW. It is a little slow (still awesome for a 14 though) and the bar pressure is reasonably heavy, but I am actually a fan of getting a bit of a work out while i kite. The kite freaking rips! It feels like a beginner kite and I would happily recommend it to a beginner as no matter how hard I tried to invert it i just couldn't. They have actually gone too far the other way as with my old TD i could hover it 1m above the beach and rip on the outside line stall it then have it land LE facing the wind. This kite just turns then flies backwards.

As an advanced kite it is a demon. Flown correctly it by far generates more lift and hangtime then any kite I have flown. You can literally hover on the beach and boost AFTER you have already boosted. I did some of the longest jumps in my life today and it was only 20knots.
When I parked it at twelve it would just stay there without moving. I literally pulled the stopper ball in and let it sit there without touching the bar for 30 seconds. Then by pulling the bar in I would go up and fly. my 12m TD1 would never have the grunt to do that.

I did find it a little tricky to do my standard moves as my double fronties were accidentally turning into triples, however the conditions were pretty average as the wind was completely onshore and the surf was choppy as. Unhooked was ok, however as with any bow the range can be challenging. The trim tab just above the chicken loop serves as a molded hand hold for easy adjustment of the front lines whilst riding unhooked. Looking forward to taking it out tomorrow.

GOOD
Pulls hard
Solid air time
Never inverts (I tried some crazy stuff landing literally behind it and it just flies backwards)
Sits in the one spot and does as its told
Doesn't pull on and off like the TD1
Solid construction (i thought the TD1 was solid, this thing is hardcore).
Clip over inflation valve

BAD
My 14 was a little slow (apparently the 11's turn like wheels)
In 8knots and under it flies backwards and its real hard to turn around at the edge of the wind window. Even after trimming it flew backwards (the TD1 would invert instead)
Moderate bar pressure (this is very debatable in comparison to other kites). I actually like the heavy bar pressure as you 'feel' the kite and where it is in the wind window plus it makes you man like borat.

I would highly recommend it for beginner to advance. I would strongly suggest a beginner buy the 11 and not the 14 as I gaurantee with the lift this beast generates they will end up in a tree.
