I have been starting to unhook on my 09 switchblade and are finding it very difficult to hook back in. I travel down wind for ages in order to release tension in the lines, but i just cant seem to get the loop back on my harness easily!! The donkey dick seems to get in the way. Should i just cut it off?? Or can i just buy a bigger loop for my bar??
Any help appreciated.
Cheers

i see a lot of cab guys go down wind a bit and grab there chicken loop with one hand and hook it back in, if you are really over powered you can grab it with both hands the kite will depower and slow down and it will be easy to hook in.

cut the donkey dick off and put a thick cable tie on your spreader bar (cut to length) that you can run through your hook if you ever want to lock the loop in

Hold bar with one hand and hook back in with other, its really very easy, maybe practice doing stuff with your other hand at home first

Yep use the other hand to grab the chicken loop. YOu can actually kite quite easily unhooked using one hand on the bar and one on the chicken loop.
Also works well in the surf if you want to unhook but want the kite to fly faster or further into the window.

buy the biggest 2010 chicken loop! they have the swiveling donkey and it and the size makes hooking back in so much easier!! plus they re only like $30

Yeah just bear off downwind to kill some speed, if that doesnt work pull the chicken loop to depower and hook in..
