I'm a french girl kiteboarding.
I'm searching a surfkite, but I'm quite small and light : 1m56 (5,11 feets) and 49kg (108lb)
My programm is lightwind on a lake in France-Monteynard and small waves in Beauduc or Brittany.

Girls, what is your surfboard quiver?
I hesitate between a Celeritas Slingshot 5'6 (but maybe too much volume for me), a Mitu Fone 5'4 (cool for waves, but maybe not top for lightwind) and a Fish Fone 5'6 (cool for the lightwind but not waves I think...)

I'd probably go for something like a North Pro or a North Whip as it will be short so you can throw it around in the waves easier. At your weight I don't I wouldn't go for a specific light wind board as it would be hard to move around in the water and probably too buoyant for you. Any surfboard would work better in the wind then a normal Twin Tip. I'd focus on getting a board that's good in the waves that's around 20-25 liters, it will still work well in light wind.

I would say for sure go for a square nose parralel rail design as these tend to go quite well in light wind but still have good control when more powered up. Go for the smallest size of a north whip/pro, firewire vanguard, naish skater or there are many other versions.

For a kite a 1 strut like the airush ultra or north mono could do you quite well for your bigger kite. At your weight you will definitely be pushing the lowest wind range of any kite your on and these kites perform very well in their lower range

You have said your weight and average wind but not your preference to something fast and agile or something big and bouncy for a lightweight kiter..
I'd suggest trying a few different type's and sizes and getting what you currently feel most comfortable on...

It confirms a little bit my feelings. With my "little" weight, any surf would be enough buoyant. So, I can try the smallest one.
About my program, I think I prefer something funny on little waves than something really efficient for upwind.

If the board you choose feels a bit too much in stronger conditions , consider putting in smaller fins.
Makes a big difference.

Slingshot have the screamer & angry swallow both go down to 5'2" I think check out their website.

Fiona here is about your size and has spent years trying to find production surfboards with small enough volume. Currently she has an old Naish Global 5'2". She has used the Mitu 5'6" a little for strapless and is keen to try the 5'4". Most boards generally have too much volume she finds. She really only wants about 16-17 litres, but most boards have at least 20 even in the smallest size.

She's currently away at the North dealer conference, so we'll see if they've got anything to suit her in the 2019 lineup!

For kites she rides mostly the North Dice, as they are much more forgiving for small riders than a lot of kites that tends to feel a bit too "punchy" to a light weight rider, if you also ride flat water etc. the Dice would be well worth trying. She does use the Mono in light wind and has been liking the new Cabrinha Drifter this year too.
