Just after some info about the slingshot joint bindings , Anyone out there using these bindings and what do you think ? Thinking about using these once my foot heals after a kite crash, sick of my feet slipping out !!

We had them on demo for a while.
Feedback was about 50% stoked 50% 'not for me'
See if you can find a set on demo somewhere.
Heel straps are also an option. We have the Dakines in stock - fit almost all brands.
One advantage with heel straps is you can choose when to use them. When you dont want them they tuck away neatly.

DOH. Not our strong point ATM. Hacked just before the busy season hit & we haven't had any time to get it up to scratch. Soon I hope.
Try ringing. :-(

I have been using them a couple of months now on both boards - a 135 Ocean Rodeo Mako and a Griffin 137 TT and love them.

I found that I couldn't get comfortable in straps mainly because I would move my foot around too much and tended to twist them too much which resulted in me having too much of my foot out of the strap which I probably could have fixed by a little moving of the straps and concentration on foot position but I gave the Joints a go and instantly loved them.

They are a little frustrating to get into initially when compared to straps as you need to fiddle around for a few seconds and make sure you are in but once you are in they give great feedback and you feel like you have a great connection with the board and your feet stay pretty much where you want them to.

They are easy enough to get out of when you need to so I dont really think the chance of injury is any greater than a strap (when compared to full boots).

One thing that annoyed me with them initially was that the top covering ends just at the foot side of your big toe nail and after a few hours on the water a came out with some pretty nasty worn toes right on that bit at the end of your toe nail which has no flesh what so ever but after a quick fix with a stanley knife and a glue gun a rolled back the top layer to give more room for the big toe.

See if you can give them a trail first, I can see how people would either love them or hate them but in my case I love them.

I used them for a while on my mates cabrinha custom. i really liked them. if you stacked hard your board would come off. not too heavy on the board. really good connection with the board too. would buy a set if i had the $$ to spare. i havent used boots or anything before though and only ever ridden with footstraps but i enjoyed riding them. felt weird at first and getting them screwed into the correct solids in the board was important as you cant just twist your feet like you can in the straps...

I have heel strap I bought for about 20 bucks good thing about these your foot won't slip when trying to do tricks on ya board but when you hit the water hard and you don't want to be locked in your feet slip out. Coz I found myself without a bit more support one foot in and one foot out is a **** feeling when you need to land lol
So I thought good buy myself.
