Hi Guys,
Anyone got any feedback on the Slingshot Fuse mutant, 2008 model as you can't get any 2009 Slingshot Gear??

Looking for a board that would work better in the surf, (mainly bay slop) than a standard twin tip without going to a full on surfboard.

All comments welcome.

Regards,

Andrew

Hi Andrew
I've had a couple of goes on the Fuse. Not the easiest board to adjust to TT style. If you ride a lot of toe side then it's ok IMHO.
I bought a Airush Choptop for conditions similar to yours. Way easier than the Fuse and more versatile in choppy / mushy waves.

hi smithy,

i also had a few sessions on the fuse and found it to be a great crossover board. It handles the chop well and is much better on waves than a TT. Also because of the fins on the front end of the board you can turn quickly to get out of a sticky situation without having to go toeside.
I know Luke at www.kiteaction.com.au have a second hand one for sale.

Good Luck,

Some stock is available. Have 1 demo and one new. Have had great feedback on the 2009 and the 2008 model. Slightly different fin config this year. If you are looking for a cross over between a twin tip and a directional then this is a great wave option. Bottom turns more like a surf board but can still jump and roll in the surf. Good flex means it is softer in the chop. Goes up wind well, but a different feel upwind from a standard twinny. Can retro with twin tip pads if you like the twin tip feel or it comes with standard direction style flat pads and straps.

Have Fun!

Thanks Guys,
I have now got a demo of the 07 model from the guys at SHQ, used it once so far in 15Knts such an easy board to use!! seems to work well in small bay waves / chop so far it looks like it may be what I was looking for. This demo board has been set up with standard TT pads and straps. Looking forward to testing it out in stronger winds with either my 8m or 10m
