What two or three kites are most similar to an edge?

Well I've flown a 16m dyno for an entire day in Bali. Hard to tell as bigger kite, but does have some similarities, in terms of hunting the edge of the window. But it has the north feel, very different to the ozone feel.

Only flown the Varial X not the race and it is a completely completely different feel. Add the race characteristics in it may it get closer but it is a pulley kite, very different feel.

Big guys like puertz ride the dynes cause they won't deform under his weight and aggressive riding. Toby ( air style man) rides the dynes cause of the stopper for all his hooked air tricks.

But the edge has its own feel and to me is the most superior wing I have ever flown by a country mile. Never have I been so stoked and just can't wait for the next session.

If you asked kites similar to the Dyno I would say nothing, the dyno is the dyno.

The edge is the edge, don't compromise.

Don't know only flown and bought the 2013. My 9m arrived today from Westoz so the stoke factor has risen again,

Some have said yes, turning is faster, more efficient, more edge than edge.

But others have said minimal difference except slight turning speed.

Others may wish to comment, as I said don't know. All I know is I just had another awesome session on an 11m edge and my shinn monk, oh yeh and one earlier today on the same kite on my mako king.

Oooyehhhh.

depends on size too

like if you were to say, "what are the two most similar kites to a 13m edge"

i'd have to say an 11m edge and a 15m edge

but, if you were to say...

"what are the two most similar kites to an 11m edge"

then i'd say, a 13m edge an a 9m edge

as edge riders will tell you nothing , honestly ive ridden the most popular kites and they all feel a long way short , however ive heard glowing reports on the new flexifoil force a kite only recommended for good intermidiates to advanced, due to its power, looks quite similar to the edges outline, if your looking for the ultimate freeride kite the edges are the ultimate

I think too people need to realise the edge is a very specific kite suited to a specific group of riders. Some will absolutely love it. eg eppo.

For others the high aspectedness off it will be a pain in the arse. try before you buy if possible is the best idea.

on a side note if this years c4 is too wake style i may consider changing it out for 9m edge. Try before i buy is not an option for me for 9m edge so i'm keen to hear 9m edge reviews.

11m edge + Regular Perth Seabreeze = Huge Crunk Airs, every day, all summer long.
God I love my edge.

Honestly plummet, the 9m flies exactly like the 11m, just faster. You need to get your redirection a little better as less canopy, but very very similar.

No the C4 is just fine man.
