Hey All,

I'm looking at these 2 kites to extend my high end wind range and help
improve my style. I am not unhooking but would like to progress to this especially for the waves.

I currently have a Rev 11m 2008 and above 25kts it's a handful.

I am learning wave riding and jumping (front rolls & boosts) on a TT

I never surf flat water as there is none around here.

I've heard the Fuel will be steadier in stronger winds (ie; have a longer range)
and the Rev 2 will relaunch easier and be more forgiving.

Your thoughts and experience would help me heaps here as I can't afford both!
Cheers

Definately the REV is the better choice, for surf & especially for manageable top end.

The 9m Fuel doesn't have as much range as the REV but is steadier in stronger wind. It's a good park and ride kite in the surf. The 9m REV 2 is a much faster kite than the FUEL so can handle a lower wind range.
For me, the 9m REV is a much better choice for the waves due to better relaunch and flying speed. It's quite a bit quicker than the 11m so takes a bit getting used to but is a great kite around the 25kts range and over.

Thanks Col, top end is definitely the major concern here but I am more of a Park and ride guy at the moment, so the fuel looks tempting, thanks sunseeker. You also said the Rev 2 was 'faster' and had better low end, is this because it responds better to sining or because it is just 'faster' ?
Thanks again Cheers

Mate, I rode fuels for years and would say they've got great top end range especially against the Rev. Everyone thinks it's the opposite, but I believe you'll be suprised.

I rode them purely in the surf and loved them, even against any modern kite.
