Please excuse the poor quality pictures, I didn't realise they were so bad when I took them on the phone.
I think this has been asked before, but hopefully you guys have an ingenious solution for me.
The bar pictured is just on 12 months old and the foam grip is coming off all over the place. I've been pretty good with it, washing, drying it in the shade etc. It is, however, the first bar I owned and did get a little punishment early on (see the chunks missing from the black bit, from the rail of my board. Also there is a gouge from a wrapped line).
I do wonder if it is the way I wrap up the lines that has damaged it a bit, especially where the grey foam has come off. I've never been quite sure how to wind the lines on with that spring above the bar. I have just always wound it around, and that may have been a bit abrasive, I don't know.
So the question is, what is the best way to repair it? I'm not really that thrilled that this is already happening, but prepared to concede it might be my fault. The lines are still in great condition. No frays anywhere, haven't needed tuning.
The other question is, am I wrapping the lines incorrectly?
