can anyone out there who rides the "rocket" recommend what size you would or did go for and the conditions that suited.....
it looks like there is a huge difference in dimensions between the two boards, only being used as a wave rider

thanks

I heard the smaller kite on a bigger board... so I was thinking the 5'10 on a 10 metre?

i dont think that theory works out in practice
still need to be powered up what ever u are on
seems smaller board is for higher winds
i've found 5 11 fits the bill for everything, thou might ride a mutant if its super windy

did try and chase naish and north kitesurfboards down but have been in limited supply

in the end made my own

steve at kite power might be able to comment on rocket fish

A mate of mine had an 05 model for about 3 months and didn't really like it in the surf. The rear foot strap is too far forwards which makes cranking a turn quite difficult. It rides much better if you take the rear foot strap off. Other than that he found the board quite boggy and not that good in light wind. The board is also very heavy which really surprised me.

Just been looking at the 07 model which seems to be a better shape than the 05 model - not sure how it goes though.

had a session on the 5'4" model at lancelin backbeach last week in 20knt head high (max) conditions on a 7m Waroo. it is a sick little unit. i normally ride a 6' tuffie but found the fish to be much better for the conditions at the time. it absolutely cranks up wind probably because it was a lot easier to ride toeside than my surfboard. straps and footpads were super comfy. board is suprisingly heavy tho
