This stirrup hand pump is great. It's a bravo KITE ALURED. (there are different models) Pumps on both up and down strokes until you get to around 4psi; then automatically switches over to pump on the down stroke only. Makes it super easy and quick to hand pump your kites and get decent pressure in them effortlessly. I've had all forms of electric and cordless, and for ease of use and cost this is the best yet. I purchased it online for $37 delivered. I think some brands of new kites supply this pump with their own label attached. It has smooth handles, and a metal shaft. Decent pressure gauge, all the pump attachments, and a nice long bungee rope to clip to kite while pumping. Apparently built to be more resistant to sand contamination. Higher quality and REDuced effort. Time will tell re durability!

Yeh Paul my thoughts to, but it doesn't have the dual to single pump thingy at 4psi...Man that means at 4 psi I have 4.5 to go on a single downstroke pump!

Not sure that is meant to happen, but one of my North pumps fails on the up stroke around 4 psi....

Righto will check next time I pump...this might be the case, never took much notice.

I think cabrinha and a few other brands supply these with their 2014 kites in different colours. Coupled with an oversize inflation valve, they make pumping up easy as. You can really squeeze those last few pumps in. Do you guys think the new 2014 north pump system is better? Although did they change to the oversize valve at the same time, so you can't really compare with last years pump. I'm wondering if the cut over to single action thing is more suitable with kites with the large inflation valve. Eg ozone cabrinha north. The old valve nipple and ball thing requires more force. This pump feels quicker and easier than my stock standard ozone

Nah mine doesn't cut out, both up and down still produce air, so not the same for the record. North pump, ozone pump, airush pump they are all the same really. Let us know how this one goes pearl.

Cabrinha pumps are different to any others I've seen. They definitely pump faster with less force required.
Ozone, Best Slingshot North Crazy Fly Naish RRD fone, etc are all the same.
The Bravo pumps are the original that all the above are copied from, but that are also not as good. The Bravo was very expensive back in the day, I can remember paying around $100+ wholesale for them, consequently they never sold, and have not bothered with them since. Might check them out again...

I have had 2 pumps and they both cracked just below the handle due to being made of hard brittle plastic,1 was cracked when I lent it to someone and the other cracked whilst in my bag

Seriously when are they going to build a pump that is built properly for our human bodies . Here is a thought make it higher like a colaspable leg under it so you don't have to bend your bloody back . While we are at it make the pipe come out of that leg so the pipe is not going up and down with every pump . I don't think it is rocket science , surely some one can design then send to me I will get it built .
Just thinking out of my box .

Come to think of it we are nearly there now if we turn a normal pump upside down a foot plate mounted to the handel then a bolt on handel on the bottom of the pump for the extension lets see what you guys come up with .

Pump still goes strong. It does do a good job on small nipple kites as well as the boston valves. Purchased online. They have went up $6 since I bought. Couldn't find a local supplier either. I emailed him beforehand to confirm he was sending the Bravo ALU R.E.D kite version pump. You know how ebay is. If you get the wrong thing sent from O/S the return postage is worth more than the item. I also had a free guage includee. Ive since just taken it off.
