I am looking for a 7m kite mainly for surfing and high wind days.

I think most 7m's cover the fast part but heres the catch, as the kite will be used for special occassions like when it is nuking or 25+ knots surfing(as I am a fat bastard), the price should be around the $1300 new complete. I don't know if this price is realistic but if you don't ask you never find out.

This subject may be daft but there aren't many reviews on 7m's.

The 2007 Best Yarga sound like it would suit what you are after. Perfect for Freestyle and wave riding. You can change the bridle system to fly as a 4-line C, 5 line C or a SLE like a waroo. Most our crew up here just ride it in SLE format which gives you a massive windrange and super fast turning ability. PM me for a closeout price if you are interested. look for a 7.5m f1 bandit demo i got one for my wife but has quickly become my faverate kite. super stable but fast turning when you want it to be, speed record for kiting set on a bandit,auto relaunch just hook in and let go of the bar. incredable bottom end 15kts topend 40kts very stable unhooked and easy to adjust trim. jumps way better than most 9m kites. and very simple set up 3 to 4 lines below the bar safety that is fully spinning.

you seem to be describing a 6m Eclipse Nano.
why not get on the Eclipse website and email Dimitri.

He obviously has plenty of experience with all the items you list.

although at 95kg, I get all the results you talk about from the 9m.
the 8m Thruster sacrifices some parking ability for very light bar pressure and speed plus only becomes fun for me from 22kts but I have still had it on full power at 35kts during some Sandy Point speed runs.
and at $under 1400 bucks for the 6m complete it could be the value kite for those almost too rare nuking days

check out the Havocs from LF, they cover pretty much everything mentioned up top and are a bit cheaper then most kites.

Your best bet would be demoing gear as usual, but you can't go wrong with most 7m kites.

Maybe a 2007 7m North Vegas in "AS NEW" condition is what you need. Reckon it Meets all the criteria you set. You'll even walk away with change in your pocket

If I knew of a kite that had the same qualities of my 7 meter rev but with a 5th line, no one pump and no bridles or pulleys, I would sell you my rev for your asking price, its only been used about 7 times, but would suit the bill....fast, quick turning stable, super grunty, great kite all round. Which is why it’s not for sale (unless I find something else with the qualities abovementioned - which would mean i would have to demo them back to back - which is what you should do!)

Ok, gonna have to try the REV. 8m Switchy 3 in 20-25 knots inverts when flown fast and depowered across the window, otherwise very nice kite, grunty and fast.

Ozone Sport 2 Hands down, do yourself a favour and test one, all those things you asked for the Ozone delivers.

Your looking for a NEW, try kitecrazzzy's one. he has a demo one around that i'm sure would fill your needs. we have it in 35+ and both of us where lovin it with the ability to take it higher. im only 75 where as he's 80

You need to look at a BLADE you will get it complete with lots of change brand new.

Had a good 2 hours on 8m Switch 3 in gusty 15-25 knots today. Was very happy with how well the kite handled the gusts, surprising for a free style kite.

Some people have PM'd with regard to the inversions I experienced the other day. I must say that they only happened because I fully depowered the kite, even past the punch out, and then yanked for full power while flying it across the window. I fly a kite with much aggression and recon that is why I managed an inversion. The kite is sweet and I just love it....smooth, fast and grunty.

So, for me 8m Switch to 30 knots, but then to the black 7m Fuel

Even a 6m switch will get you out on a surfboard in 20knots and having fun. They are great kites. I have a 6 and 10 switchy 3's and they are great for wakestyle, freestyyle and waveriding and freeriding. the 6 m is so easy to loop aswell.

We kited south west W.A. all last winter and the Airush kites (DNA and Flow SLE's) were noticeably more stable than other makes for storm front kiting

I think you'll struggle with super stability if you want super fast turning too, but, the 7M Vapor would do the trick, although the are a bit more twitchy than the SLE kites in gusty conditions but then they're not so prone to inversion on relaunch if you ditch them.

The 6M DNA would also be a good choice for winter due to their rock solid stability and "park and ride" although they're a bit heavier on the bar.

Nice work Matt, totally agree. The most important thing is to get your wind strength/conditions Vs your weight compatable. ie. Perth 8-9m for me, weighing 90kg, as when the wind exceeds 30-35 knots, its gusty, changes direction, and its winter.

Wasted plenty of money on kites that I've used a handfull of times eg 16m, 7m, when I'm better off sticking to a 12-14 and an 8-9
