Could anyone advise if I would get the same power from a 6m ozone reo as I would from a 6 m ozone catalyst.
I have a 8, 10, and 12 reo and want a small kite for winter and to also use on strong days in summer, so am considering a 6m cat instead of 6m reo but am worried the cat if more powerful for its size will end up being to close to my 8m reo. Any help on the power difference between the two would be great.
Thanks

Just go a 6 reo. Its a great little storm kite. It doesn't make sense in my mind to run little cats and bigger reo's. If anything you should have bigger cats and little reos.
PS I think they are similar power size for size cat to reo. But I am on 2012 gear so can't comment on the 2013 cat.

For 2013 the Cats are definitely punchier than the REOs. I agree that a 6m Cat would be too close to your 8m REO - go the 6m REO.

A tweaked Rio gives you a similar power output to an untweaked cat, by changing your line settings at the bar gives it a very noticable power change, had the Rio and cat as a highwind kite , personally they still didn't do it for me even in the upper 30s and a few times on the low 40s, where the 7 edge does, great highwind tt kite

Yeh in the small sizes, a bigger cat v Rio in lower winds may be different, havnt gone above a 6 and a 8 comparison

Cool, good to know. I have found my 8m 2013 cat has some serious low end on the shortest float knot. Even at 20 knots maybe a tad lower I'm surfing on my mako. Gets a bit punchy near 26 to 30 though. Not sure the top end is as good as the older models. Got way more C in it.

Some 14m cats out today in Bali (actually last year it was a north fest, lot more ozones about now), and some lighter crew doing really well considering the wind was in and out.

Rode with some dude out back near the waves, both on zephyrs, he had the older model on a strapless surfboard! Was having fun.

Wind kicked right in for about 15 minutes...17 to 18 thought I'd be stuffed on my big light wind board, but no the tropical wind is pussy play after being in those cold dense south west westerlies. Child's play I tell ya. But I was the only one keeping ground in the early part of the day before it kicked up enough for others. And that was on an inefficient TT, but had to use everything I had to keep ground. I'm stuffed just from concentrating!!

But kicked in later so no probs then. Some dude on a 12m rebel was doing well on a SB, another zephyrs 2013 was out, some cabrinha not sure what it was, a fair few cats 2013 and one of those weird ass strutless Airush thingies...he was out for ages! Got caught on the low ride has to walk in! And of course heaps of Airush kites being an Airush school thingy in front, they were doing well.

Man tropical wind has no balls hey.
