As someone mentioned earlier they only post if they can contribute their knowledge not to get their posts up . You on the other hand post in every single thread with your long winded bull**** and I think some have had enough. Same goes for plummet constantly bagging a c4.

Nice vid by the way. But I don't call that waves I call it slop.
Anyway origin poster asked about c4 drifting ability. I say its ok but obviously not as good as the dedicated wave kites. What I really like about the (older models) C4 in the waves is the dynamicness of the kite. fast turning. smooth. Its really good if you want to work the kite rather than park it. Looking down the line is sweet. Powered boosting of the wave lips is super sweet. Sessioning boost then upwind wave riding on 1.5 head shore dumpers on the c4 is one of favourite things to do!....
In answer to your questions. There are a few that ride 2014 C4s in the surf here. They rip. Some sponsored. A mate demoed one and it's top of his wanted list. He is an advanced surf kiter. Thing about kites, what one person hates may be the attributes another likes. Eg kite may surge and slack during demo. When you know the kite and it's characteristics, that surge can let you punt and the slack a reo or handle pass. I wasted a couple of my early kite years riding a 'pony'. Kite felt great at the time, but I was just clocking up km doing strapped downwinders. No great variation or improvement. I should have been mixing it up with boards, kite, wind direction, and trying more. But I was having fun at the time and knew no better. So I say go for it. Even if it is a 'brumby' ( if that makes sense). It has the ability to advance your kiting/performance. I can't comment on past years models. Pm rowdy. Even though he is a team rider, he'll tell you straight.

Fair enough but I am almost certain that When We read a certain kite or board or even a brand bashed I don't see an armada of vicious and personal attacks almost like wolf pack that follows when an ozone kite is the topic of conversation. This is not the first time.
Eppo. It's because the Ozone C4 is the "maccas" of all kites (see www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Kitesurfing/Review/Which-kite-is-the-maccas-of-all-kites). Don't blame them poor sheep.
All I can say is mattkenedy and tomasb would make ideal brand ambassadors. The helpful personality, honest reviews and accurate feedback on kites and boards from you both has helped me heaps.. I have over 1k posts, so I know what I'm talking about.

On the topic. I have a couple of 2012 c4s and they make reasonably good wave kites, it's worth noting that there are quicker relaunching kites out there which can become significant in the waves.
