I know it's a wakestyle-freestyle kite but someone had any experience using it for waveriding (until 4-5m waves), in particular the 9m?
I'm asking it because I recently bought a 12m Vegas but I can't try it now (winter).I'm between the 9m Vegas or 8m RPM....It'd be easier and cheaper for me the Vegas (I'd buy only the kite), but I'm afraid about the relaunch (5th line), the depower and the small wind range. And I like freestyle but also wave...

So come in Fuerteventura and see (I wrote waves until 4-5m because we have waves until that size...usually are 3-3.5m, in winter arrive bigger)...Anyway I asked how is Vegas for waveriding...if it's quite good or a ****...
I'm not saying I'm Mitu Monteiro...

If you were Mitu you would be ridding a bandit 3 and killing it in the waves.

I am using a 9 & 12 meter vegas's 2010 in small surf and they are great.
The relaunch is good, if you are having trouble, depower the kite, it relaunches alot easier, then power it up once in the air.
I have self launched the 12 in 8 knots or there abouts.

Use in small surf is good, and the kite does seem to hang up really well, and they steer very fast so you can keep them moving.

They are also good on the flat water, and smooth out the gusts really well.

The depower is excellent.

I expect that they are quietly gaining popularity as there seem to be some conjecture about the performance of the 2010 rebel.

do you have to use the 5th line to relaunch or can you just point the bar and off you go?
