Hi all,

Ive recently Purchased a new North Gonzales TT and it come with the new Vario Foot straps.
Im just wondering if any one is having a drama with the velcro not griping on them. Even just hitting white water is enough to rip the top strap. Hoping some one might have a solution.

It never happened on my old board also when i feel the velcro on other foot straps it is a lot harder to get the top strap off.

Any help appreciated

Thanks
Michael

I have the same experience on Varios from an 2011 Xride. Haven't found a workaround but thinking a safety pin? Surprising to see they did not improve the Velcro for all these years on what seems an obvious shortcoming.
Can I ask why would you buy a Gonzales when you have a Select?

Perfectly, great straps that you can adjust whilst riding

I bought a Xenon Laluz and are having heaps of problems keeping the board on my feet,

the boards great, cuts though the chop like a hot knife through butter, goes upwind unreal and is a supa comfortable ride but no matter what I do the straps just dont keep the board on my feet after a jump or even a small pop,

apart from trying other straps,is there any other suggestions

Straps and pads not the best man in my opinion, although my mate likes them. Those warlocks do look nice. I use naish apex on mine.

generally most straps fit, its when you mix them with a different pad, i use them in big conditions when i dont want my board to come unstuck, saying that you risk injury due to their contact, they really give you a locked in feel though when you pull the strap, i find myself adjusting as i go, going hard pull the strap, ease off a bit and pull the tab

My mate has a Shinn Speedball and did not like the pads and straps on it,it too kept coming off his feet after jumping or doing small hops,so I may see if they are any good for my feet and if they fit on my Lalaz ,

he put some old pads and straps from a north board on ,not as comfortable but has not trouble keeping it on his feet now

found out the reason why my straps kept coming off my feet, particularly one foot,I was sold two left foot straps, not a right and a left

and they were too big

they never really tighten up on my feet
