I've not actually ridden one, but a good friend of mine got to ride one last year in Egypt at the pre-production photo-shoot.
I think I had just crashed and he came past me on it shouting 'I'm riding backwards' !!!
In his words, it was the surfer's kitesurfing board... He is originally a South West England surfer...
Apparently they come with a massive range of fins for different riding styles, and they look awesome... They have a shimmery top coat that looks like a fish in the water...
If you want, I'll get the full story from him...

thanks for the info Paul, I picked one up yesterday 128 x 38 so am super keen to get out on it.
If what your friend said is true ie : Surfers kiteboard . I will be more than happy ( I want to use it in the waves as well as the flat )

Obviously I have not ridden it yet but the look and quality of finish are certainly one of the best I have seen.

Murphys Law says there will be no wind for a week now I have a new board.

hi guys
Ive ridden this board in the surf found it cranked up wind and felt good through turns . It held its edge easily but still broke out if i wanted it too i was over powered at the time, so cant comment on pop because every jump was big & easy, but it landed nice & didnt nose dive even once.

Hope this helps

Well CrefloDollar,

Unfortunately the wind gods have not been very kind. I have now used it twice (5min in 20 knots and about half an hour in 15knots ). But so far so good.

The board is super smooth through the chop, the finish is first class, pop seems pretty good and it really holds a rail. I did notice a very small vibration in the flat water on the first run.........which was strange. But this has not happened since. ( may have been something stuck on the fin ).

I am super keen to get it out for a good session so I can really give some proper feedback.

Worth Noting :
The boards I have owned and used extensivly over the last two years are :
Naish Haze 06 138cm
Underground FLX 132cm
Cardboards Freeride 126cm
Slingshot Lunacy 129cm
and now
Mark Shinn Twin 128cm

Hands down the best board (shinn aside ) is / was the Cardboards.

From my so far limited riding of the Shinn I would say it is probably nudging ahead of the cardboards. That being said it is $1200 compared to around $800 for the Cardboards so..........

Will give some more feedback next week after i have actually had a decent session.

I've been looking for a great twin in the waves and chop in rough conditions, something that really carves. In the other post the best advice pointed to the airush hammer but its 138 x 38.5..pretty big ! The shinn twin at 128 sounds better for 65kg guy like me. Should I consider it over the hammer as my wave twin. I won't get to demo them before my final choice.
