My Comments:
Hey gang, i'm new the sport i've started on a north rebel 10m which is awesome. Though only having the 1 kite im looking to get out in some more breeze, looking loosely at the moment at 8m kites.
What are your thoughts? On brands etc
Hi mate,
the kite you currently have is probably the best allround kite for the things you want to progress into.
However, to have the best progression in any of the different kiting styles you shld maybe think about what you want to do most of the time and get the kite shape that is designed for such style.
If you keen to get into racing get a race specific kite like The North Dyno, ASV XR or Ozone Edge.
If you want to do unhooking the look into a C-kite which also works good in surf, freeride and boosting or maybe a Delta.
As you probably know there Rebel a pretty good performer in any style especially boosting the 2013 Rebels jump easy and go super high. I have done my biggest jumps ever on this years Rebels :)
If you have a 10m i would def go a 7m. Try to spread the sizing out on a two kite quiver and you will have more days kiting. 12 and 8m works well or 7 and 11.
Use the 11/12 from 12-20knts and the 7/8 from 20+.
If you like to stick with North but want a bit more instant grunt try the new Evo. Its a sic allround kite!
