This review is because im so stoked.

The new Enduro got a session today, first off the inflate valve was a little slippery, and it took some effort to keep the pump in the inflate valve, i had to hold it and pump with 1 hand in the end. This is the only disappintment.

The location was Dorans road Hobart.
Westerlies here get funneled between 2 hills, giving an extra boost and the wind chop gets a chance to build up, forming some nice ramps about 2or3 ft. Thats after the wind comes over the mountain ranges and get a little gusty.
Wind speed today was guesstimated at 35 knots, this is the first point, i was so in control i thought it was 25 kts.
Im only 3 years in and so jumps around 5m i consider great. 4.7 was the max today by my woo.

This kite is so comfortable that you can easily go out in higher powered conditions and still feel in control.
Toes side was easy and toe side riding the wind chop off the wind was so much fun and the kite kept power or hung nicely.
The entire session was in control, and confident.
This is a most excellent kite and im really impressed.
My mate on a 7 felt uncomfortable all day and did not enjoy the gusty session at all.
Another expeirienced kiter(10+ yrs) on an 8 felt out of control.

No more sitting in the beach in the high wind days.

You need a different nozzle for the pump... i think the north/duotone ones are a little small and don't hold.

The Ozone pump nozzle is tapered to match the valve, many other brands large pump adapter is parallel sided and they do not fit well or hold in like the tapered ones.

Still an awesome controlled kite in gusty 30+knots

The V2 or the smaller sizes must be better at absorbing the gusts. I haven't found the top end to be all that great in gusty conditions but putting them on the freestyle setting helps. Otherwise, they are amazing, confidence inspiring kites.

Kite manufactures should either make their pumps compatible with each other or agree on a standard valve. How hard can it be to make attachments that fit?

I got a 8m V2 for 20knt+ tt boosting and looping. Good boosting requires good technique but it is light, super agile and pivot loops with ease

It isn't too bad unhooking either but obviously doesn't give as much slack as a c kite.

I actually foiled with 10m the other day. A bloody good little freeride foil kite
actually. Stayed in the air in 11 -13 odd kmots, drifts okay to.

Light build has its benefits.

No. I tried the 9m with 25m lines and was impressed with the speed so I figured I could achieve similar loop / speed on a 10m with 23m lines.

If you buy some new pig tails you can cut and splice the existing 25m lines into 23 + 2ms. I learned to do the brummel splice on YouTube with guitar wire and have been doing loops with some cabrinha lines i shortened to 19ms for 6 months now.

Or I can sell you a brand new set of 20m lines for $150

Your local repairer should be able to cut your lines and make extensions for you, if you wanted. Would make for more easy trial. If you didn't like it, just wack the extensions on.

Just read the comment above, totally agree, though pigtails wouldn't be needed. I might add that if you think for one second, spliced lines is beyond your capability, get someone qualified to help.

I've been on the 8m for 3 months now. Its my go to kite up to 20 knots on the foil then 25+ on the mutant.

Took me a few sessions to dial to my liking. I hated all but the fastest turning settings. Getting it on wave setting on the front bridkes andalso lightest bar pressure fastest turning on the rear has got me close to what I like.

Now it's sweet and does a good job on the foil, in the waves and can punt a descent boost when it's windy. But it's not exceptional at anything

It's a jack of all trades kite and master of none!

That suits me because that's what I am too.............

Freestyle fastest setting is my preference, it comes shipped on free ride middle pressure
, actually asked a bloke at windfest which setting he was on , I changed them over and chucked him back up, he loved the Kite actually unaware of the changes available, it's well worth spending a decent session playing about also in different windstrengths, I find the freestyle best when very solid
and gusty wind conditions with little trim

Managed a powered to **** session on a flat water estuary the other day mayeb 25-33 knots ish, Got some sweeet ass boosts, I felt like Kevin Langeree boosting to the moon! In i was probably only boosting 8m from the flat but it felt HUGE. Plus i'm a bit rusty on the old boosting having done more foiling lately. I didnt have a sweet redirect sorted all the time. Some I could land soft others i came it fast for butt check landing. I think thats due to my rustyness rather than a kite issue.

It certainly doesn't have the float of the edge and feels more old C4 like with a bit extra hang. None the less a kite you can foil one day and boost the next is worthy indeed.

I have ridden the Enduro 9m and liked it but was on a surfboard and did not really do any boosting. Two days ago I tried my friends brand new 9 Edge and rode a twin tip for the first time in two years. He had a woo thingy on his board (I borrowed that too) and though I didn't feel like I was boosting very high it measured over 7 meters. My timing is a little off from not riding tt's but it was fun jumping like that again. It was around 20 knots or so, getting to 25 at times. What I LOVE about the Edge is the float. Even on my first attempts, without having done this style of riding I was landing these jumps with ease. WHen I get the same kind of air with my Reo's is my redirect and loop isn't perfect I come in so hot for landings. The Edge was just beautiful.
So, with that in mind, you as a rider of both, can you elaborate a tad more on the differences in your redirect and landing techniques? I want to borrow that kite again next time it hits over 20 and really send that thing. Such confidence knowing that a pillow soft landing is what awaits from that Edge

I'm running my 10m on 20m lines at the moment just to see what the difference is like. It has transformed the kite into a mean looping machine and not sacrificed too much bottom end.

I've also used foiling a few times now too. It goes pretty good on the foil for an inflatable but can't come close to my foil kites.

I reckon this is the best crossover kite I have flown / owned between the Dice, FX and Bandit.

Well, The edge technique that I use is to let the bar out at the apex of the jump kite close to zenith, maybe a tad back, let the kite breath and speed up on the way down. You come in fast and hot with the bar out. But then bar in and hard redirect almost stops you about a meter out from landing. Timed right you get a cool hover to BUTTERY loft landing.

I'm yet to dial the enduro technique down. But I suspect it will be like the old C4. Hold the kite back at 11 when you are boost to 1, the wait, wait, wait and hard and fast redirect across the zenith to buttery landing. My wind was too fickle the other day to dial in. I was riding in an estuary with offshore wind coming off 400m high hills. Gusts were pretty intense.

The enduro leaves the edge for dead in hight of jumps but not in float/ travel, very respectful though, on decent a little 11 to 1 movement then a loop or leave a tad longer and a powered redirection approx 2 mtrs from water, landing hot the Kite seems to always recover from slackline
due to its drift abilities, on all my edges you'd have to get hard on the edge to get the slack out of the lines and stop it hitting the drink, as mentioned I'd compare the enduro to the older c4 2011/12 in direct feel but more refined in feel and usability, in some ways also similar to vegas 2013/14 both on freestyle setting

I'm about 83-85kgs. I run two different twin tips the Naish stomp which is a high rocker board. I need 18-20 knots to go ok and 20-25 knots to have fun looping.

On my other freeride / lightwind board you can take about 4 knots off these numbers but it is 46cm wide. With 20m lines btw.

Going from 23m to 20m lines probably cost me 1-2 knots of low end.

very direct in feel
, not overly heavy but you certainly feel exactly where it's at, you can change the feel at the tops and changing to freeride or wave, depends what you want

Msg chirotrev, we swapped kites for an hour, he'd be 90 kg I'd say, was on the 12 evo and me at 87 on the 10 enduro, he looked like he was having a ball on my enduro massively different type of kite, tbh couldn't wait to get it back off him,

Agree regarding the C4 2011/12. Loved it and Enduro is indeed similar. So was the Cat 2015 just before Enduro came out. C4 went all wakestyle in 2013. Good for wakestyle, crap for anything else. Have had Enduros for 3 years now. Definitely the best crossover kite (flew RPM, Dice, GTS, FX). Ok on sb and foiling but does not beat the Reo. I did not find it great unhooked at all, sorry. I am crap and all I do is some powered raileys and while I don't care about slack, I like a proper pop, know when exactly the slingshot effect kicks in, and have the kite just sit there and wait for me to hook back in. Found only C kites can give you that. Bought a Vegas again for that purpose and love it. Missed that very direct feeling only a 5 liner (loaded 5th that is) can provide. Will need to regain confidence and proper technique and then go higher than the Enduro, albeit will miss the softer landings of the Enduro. Keeping the Reos for sb and foiling, keeping the 7 Enduro for insame boosting sessions, but in size 10 and 12 Vegas is awesome.
