What the deal with Nash surely with all the money and R&D behind Mr Nash they could come up with a better bar system, just seems that they have stuck with a very basic setup that feels a bit agricultural.

For me the Bar is like the steering wheel or the interior of a car, feel is important, never considered a Nash purely for that reason really like the torch but the bar just puts the Flame out for me..................;)

Sometimes, simplicity is the key.

I have used their gear for a while and it just works the way it should every time you take it out of the bag.

And that's much easier said than done.

Agreed but I guess what I am trying to say is keep it simple but clean it up a bit at least have the safety through the middle of the chicken loop tidy it up a bit, "Mr Naish" drives a Porsche down to his local break for a session so surely he notices the difference when he jumps into a hire car when travelling around.......

Don't take this the wrong way, but you need to think about the design decisions that have lead to the bar as you have it in your hands. Ignoring brand image, there are reasons why things end up the way they do...

yeah Ive had some of their bars from 2005 to the latest 2013 universal bar...

The simplicity and clutter free is what I like :)

What I dont like is that last is that their bars went from being one of the strongest securely attached leader line to bar setups...

to a pathetically weak "elongated hole in the ends with plastic inserts for adjustment, of which I have had one break the plastic and pull the rear leaderline through the hole !!

The adjustment from wider to narrow is to fool the stupid into thinking it actually works... the soft but still rigid enough ends see to that as the rear lines dont load F.A compared to the fronts when hooked and your hand position is what will slow things down the most..

Bring back the Boxer style ends - tuff as

The swivel needs to be about 1.5cm wider at the top to actually stop the lines from twisting - if they used a good ceramic bearing also.

Ps. early bar grip was long lasting and now im waiting for my 2013 one to peel like the last 2 years models did - I hope not though

It has a nice feel to it - but destroys my confidence throwing big loops in big winds because of those ends - it doesnt make engineering sense to do what theyve done

KISS works for me but then I drive a Toyota not a Porsche

I have had a few naish bars I like them as they are simple basic and easy to use I have found the depower wears out quick and then hard to adjust and had some bars materiel falling of but overall happy with them

I just picked up 2014 torches and love them but the shift bar is something to be desired.

It has no swivel so at the beginning of every session i'm untangling lines like a noob. I've have to run the lines out twice to make sure they're not crossed.

The diameter of the bar is way too narrow (cost cutting?). I want something to hold onto while going for tricks especially when popping at the top end of the unhooked range. Just feels like bar is going to ripped out of my hands.

Lines could be a much better quality.

They should have a cleat system instead of a pull-pull toggle depower straps.

If they spent less time on graphics and more time on design their gear could be the best on the market

When I pack up, I lark's head the left center to the left steering, and the right center to the right steering lines. When I walk out my lines, with the centers between my legs, they untangle easily right to the end. Connect and walk back up the lines, untangle the centers at the swivel and get the depower/safety lines straight.

Apparently, narrower diameter bars are easier on your hands re. forearm pump and finger strain. Apparently.

I don't think they spent much time at all on the graphics

It works, the kite fly's...i get to rip instead of ponder the gizmos i can fool around with when i get home.

Ocean Rodeo Freeride bar is more simple could be improved with a Naish swivel though...

Nope the Naish bar is total aids.. When you have been kiting a while and can afford other kites, you will get what I mean.
