If relevent, please fill in this template...(& remove this line)

Rider: 65kg advanced)
Style: Freestyle
Weather: 18-25 knots

Disclosure: Roar Industries & Watermans Shop owner

My Comments:

This kite rocks, by far the closest feeling a the naish torch but with better benefits. Has got excellent turning. Water relaunch is easy as.
I Rode the 10m yesterday in choppy Shearwater, gold coast Broadwater. Whilst other kites would be jumping around the sky, the park was just a great consistent pull, much like the torch but when you stuffed a trick up and kite had great depower.
With the direct back line attachment and a very simply 1 pulley bridle on the front, this kite feels great. So no crappy big bridle system and pulleys to deal with.
It had a great low end but also excellent top end too.
Can't wait to test it out some more.
Get yourself a ride on one, you'll love it.

^^^^

I second the above.

I have the 8, 10 and 12m

The 12 loops as quick as any 10 I've ever flown. Not the same hangtime as my old FF Ion2's but everything else makes up for it.

Loops quick with hands in the middle of the bar, relaunches sooooo easy.

Not a fan of below the bar trim but the rest is awesome.

Great colours too. Black, white and black!!!

With black trim!!

What sort of wind range would you say the 10m has? (I'm 80kg)
I had a rather lack lustre demo of a 10m Park and have just put it down to not enough wind to really get it going.

It has a pretty good and useable top end. Fly it on the power setting 80% of the time and when the wind cranks up drop the bridle to the de-power setting. If you are still nuked then drop the line extensions off. Probably move the bar to the smaller setting though if unhooking as it's super quick on the short lines.

We have 70-75 kgriders here still happy on the 10m in 30knt

Had one of my riders out the other day on a 10 park in around 32knots and hes only 70kg had it set on the low power setting, i was on a 8 myself at the time and im 96kg so he surprised me .
Had a rockin ride on the 10 myself the other day in 15-18 had it set on the powered settings and it was a straight sideshore wind with us ripping in and out through 2m surf, had no prob maintaining upwind ,was an awesome ride, really impressed with this kite.

I had the 10m Park out in ~13-16kn with perfectly flat butter water and it just wasn't working. I've no idea what settings it was on (wasn't my demo... but i 'borrowed' it) but it was a constant struggle which got no where. I really wasn't expecting much as my 12m Torch was holding ground and no more. My mate who borrowed it is about 10-15kg lighter than me and was holding ground on it but again, nothing more.

Quite keen to give it a go with ~18-22kn as i have a feeling it'd be perfect in those conditions.

Koma,
I have setup my 10m Park with bridle on grunt/powered setting & i have shortened the back lines just above the bar. I am 95-97 kg and can ride in small surf & choppy conditions in 18 knots & go upwind without too much work. The kite turns fast so you can generate pull.

What would be the bottom end for Park 12M, my weight is about 100kg, would the Park 12M have more bottom end over Alliance 12M year 2008 model kite ???

Mate i dont know the alliance kite??? & i haven't tried the 12m Park but i was out in patchy wind yesterday on the 10m wind was averaging 16/17 knots i could of done with a 12m.

I dont find the Park to be a powerful kite but its a good kite for me at the moment to fly & will take a beginner from start through to their first 3 or so seasons depending on how quickly they progress.

Probably not the park isn't a low down grunter but its quick as so you can work it real fast and generate power, get a ride on one its an addictive kite ,awesome for loop moves, and unhooked riding.

I would hope it has more. I tried the alliance when it came out and it had less grunt than a 10m switchy.

Measure a Switchy 10. It's got grunt because it more than 10m2. You won't see the word metre or square metre anywhere on Switchy bag or kite!!!

Laid out some 10's the other day. The Switchy had more canopy area than a 10.5 Flexifoil.

Go figure.

Not to defend the switchy (I actually have a Rev2) but the Alliance was also way worse than my 12m Nova 2 which wasn't known to be a grunty kite. That said, I heard of people looping the 12m Alliance in 30 knots so its obviously one of those kites that only works in its upper range.

Alliance's are great kites, just they're definitely NOT grunty. Given they're a 7 strut high AR kite with a slightly heavy leading edge they do take an extra knot or two to get going. Looping the Alliance 12 in 30 knots... well i've done it in mid to high 20's, but not 30. The 8m Alliance comes out for the 27kn+ kite loop sessions.

As for comparing the 12m Park to the 12m Alliance. The 12m Park will have more bottom end - definitely. Your comparing a 7 strut high-AR bohemoth to a 3 strut mid-AR ninja; of course the 3 strut is going to have a better bottom end.

Great kite as most people with tell you but definitely not a low end kite. Very fast and fantastic depower so the kite will drift better than most when wave riding. I only ride the 8m with shortened back lines and "more grunt" setting which gets me out on 5'8" WAM from 20kts+ but comes into its own at 25kts+.
