Has anyone tried a Naish Hero board? 145cm

I am looking at buying one for a heavier rider 110kg, what are your thoughts?

I have the Best Breeze 2015 145x44 it is a really good all round board for heavy riders.
Does all the tricks i can throw at it.
Starts to struggle in choppy conditions over 20k, then i change to a tinny board 141x42 with rocker.
There is a adjustable handle coming out for it soon i think witch lets you dial more rocker in.
Im keen to get that and see if it helps to handle chop better.
This board pulls up wind like crazy best up wind board yet.
It has a double step in the rail i think this must help.
It also boost really well as the board is a little more stiffer then others this size.

Better looking and better construction. The local PKRA guy likes the Hero, though he hasn't tried my Limited and he gets his gear free.

I've given up on reviews. Watch the videos with the sound off, or in German at gelaiten.TV or whatever it is. Demo when you can.

I think it goes great through chop. Consensus is (Eppo) that it's not as stiff as some "freestyle" boards and that helps in chop, but loses some in freestyling. Compared to the Xcaliber I rode last year, that's true - harsh ride through chop but great on the flat water. The Limited is great at both, for me.

Excellent freeride board, then. I've yet to ride anything as good.

I think the channels are the shizzle - I've ridden a couple of my flat-bottom boards since I got mine and they're like planks of wood, dull and lifeless, compared.

Definitely the most popular model in the Axis range for us. The Xcaliber this year has been helped out with more rocker so handles the chop very well. Still a very stiff board however.

Not exactly apples with apples comparing a $760 board with a $1,100 board though.

The Naish Motion comes in 142cm x 42 and is a fantastic board.

Thought I added a caveat regarding price... Vanguard then, if you don't want to spend the extra. Both the Vanguard and the Limited are beauties, but carbon fiber is saucy

I looked at the Motion and the other Naish boards, and decided it was too long for the width, and had too much rocker. And here, they were all over priced for what they were. Construction method is different.

FWIW Hironobu has his choice of Naish gear and out of all the boards, went with the Hero.

Strange because the Hero is aimed at beginners.
Not one single snapped Naish board in the current construction for us so far.
I never judge a board on its length or perceived rocker, much prefer to actually ride them.

Wasn't disparaging, just stating it's a different construction. Different look and finish...

When you can't demo the gear, you gotta have some criteria to pick what you may be interested in. I like shorter, wider and squarer boards... I've yet to like a TT with lots of rocker.

The cheaper Naish pads were $280, the Hero $850. For an entry level board....!
