Hi peoples!!

just wanted some feedback from the boxer SLE owners out there.

Ive been kiting for 2 years on slingshot fuels and turbo diesels, but i,m looking for something lighter in the bar and easyer to ride in the surf, as thats my thing. toe side on my TD is hard work, plus i,m old and lame

any feedback is welcome.

cheers

There are a few kites out there with hardly any bar pressure. The Naish Boxer is not one of them! The Shockwave is a better wave kite from Naish. It will all depend on how much you want to spend. I'll be happy to send you a p.m regarding kites and prices that are ideal for waves.

Cheers

So you obviously haven't flown one in 1:1 then?

I have thanks, I rode for Naish Int. last year. On 1:1 its ok but can easily fall out of the sky due to oversheeting

The bar pressure was reduced but the kite doesn't depower as well as it was if it was on 2:1. All things you need to consider

But changing a bar from 2:1 to 1:1 can't affect the wind range of a kite. The kite is still the same and will still have exactly the same range.

Jason, please think harder. When you change the bar you change the amount of play you have in the steering lines. Hence the reason when you are 1:1 and sheet in all the way the kite will stall, however in 2:1 when sheeted in the kite is fine. If you modify the pigtails on the kite it will be fine when flying 1:1

I would expect it to stall more on 2-1 than 1-1.

The Naish Africa guys said they would have the demo kites in about 2-4 weeks, but apparently the production models won't be available till around August. Worth testing to see if its any good.

Yeah thats the usual, they always get them in SA first. JB should be at the distributor launch so we should have some feedback before they arrive in AUS. Usually the guys in SA post a few reviews by September anyway.
