Just visited the NEW kiteboarding website and the new Express kite looks like it has become available or the pics are only available

Has anybody tried them yet especially in the surf and preferably on a surfboard. According to the website it charges upwind really well, my current kite sucks at going upwind or I suck (1 of the 2) but when I rode the original NEW kite the upwind ability was amazing. I am natural and prefer to go right than left which can be a bit of a fight with kite that sits deeper in the window. The only problem that I can foresee with a kite that flies forward in the window could fall when going down the line but the web site says that it has a lower aspect ratio and a better bottom end.

Has anybody tried it yet?

ive tried the express 15mt in 8-10 kn on a surfboard . it is a great light wind alternative, turns more like a 10mt, no back stall even when unhooked fully powerd loops on a dime .relaunch can be abit triky in the light air but this kite will reverse launch just pull on the rear lines,once air borne release one line ,sheet out and your away. all inall its thumbs up from me nice job nate.

Sounds like it could be a really nice lightwind surf kite, what is your current weight if you don't mind me asking?

The depower compared to last years 14m, is there any difference, it looks as if the front lines are higher up the LE?

How well does it pack down, it looks like it has some extra batons but with the reduced struts it should pack down OK, as the end of the day as long as I get the performance out the kite.

Do you know when Nate is going to launch it and start demoing it?

Have had the kite around Gero for demo around 6 months.
Finally the production stuff has arrived and ready to go.

Im not one for filling people full of bullsh-t to make a sale. The Express is a medium performance kite.The kites go upwind better than the OS kites in light winds. Thats why it has superseded the OS in the larger sizes.

The 15m is for cruising around in light winds. The top and bottom end wind range on the 15m Express is alittle better than the 14m OS.I have ridden a few waves on the 15m and it is better for wave riding than the 14m. Usually I dont bother riding down the line reef waves on anything bigger than a 9m cause its just not the right conditions for it. There always seems too be too much room for error if you like to get in the thick of it.

The bag is bigger this year. Not into small sacks, you cant pack enough stuff in them.

iwaz around 85 kg at time of test thats with nothin on so prob 90 kg with wetty and harness on a6"2 tuff lite deff agood lightwind wave kite quikenough to make its own apparent wind and still have pivitol turning for rapid directional turns on the wave. i stil havnt seen another kite that wont bakstall when unhooked fully fully powerd gotta try the 10mt soon.
