My Comments: Just bought the Mystic extreme kitepump, 50% larger/taller than standard pumps, choice of double or single action by closing or opening a valve on the pump.

First use, the extra height means you dont bend over at all, great for lower back, extra capacity means a lot less pumping, a real lot less. Pumped up my 11 in about 30 pumps as opposed to about 70 on the old pump.

Very smooth action, built in gauge, connectors to suit all kite valves, comes with a quality pull string style bag ( not sure why you need a bag but it can be reused as a good storage bag for other gear )

Awesome, love it, get one.

Yup, off the shelve product.

It's not a mystic pump or any other kite brand pump...all these pumps are made by the SAME manufacturer in China called GRI (look at the logo underneath the pump). They simply print the kite brand logo on it.

GRI has 3 pump models to choose from (HP1, HP2 and HP3) the one you show is the largest one.

Yes they are great pumps, but soon all kite brands will sell the same

Patiently waiting for my old school pump to die, so I can justify getting one of these new pumps.
I believe Ocean Rodeo & others do these taller pumps also.

Anyone find that these new pumps don't connect well to the Boston valve (I think that what Naish use). It seems too small and you have to hold it in to the valve when pumping up. Also the north airport valves it seemed to have not enough undercut to snap it in ....or is it just my pump?

I got an Ozone branded GRI pump, fittings fit nicely to Ozone kites (ie boston valve), but also recently got a spare North branded GRI pump, which fits nicely to North kites (bayonet fitting) but,,,, swap the hoses and you find the fittings don't fit nicely at to the other brand as noodelsrominov says.

Easiest way around it was use the North branded hose on either pump but attach the little Ozone (Boston Valve) adaptor fitting and swap over as needed.

On a different note, and nit picking here but I found the Ozone branded hose splits easily after a little while, maybe its our heat or something. Despite the hose being pretty heavy duty compared to the old thin plastic hoses of yesteryear,,,, the damn thing splits. I keep cutting the split out and re joining it but its getting shorter and shorter,,,, started out about 1m long, now its 30cm and pretty much a pain in the ar~ss to use. None of the guys using the North hoses seem to be having trouble. Oh the humanity!!!

I'm actually using the north pump with north kites. I find I have to twist the hose so when attached to the airport valve it applies a twisting pressure to keep it attached otherwise it just comes off. I've also found that the other attachments don't stay connected to the hose due to not much of a snap lock on the hose.

Anyway, apart from this first world problem the pump seems good

... ah ok, I would have thought the o-ring rubber thing creates enough friction on its own so you don't have to do the pre-twist the hose so it doesn't undo. Not sure if you have to push it down more, give it a go and see.

If memory serves me correct, the first initial batch of 2014 Rebels and maybe other models were slightly different so North sent out a little adaptor. Next lot of kites seemed ok so must have been a difference some where along the line.

The new rubber o-ring hose works well with the latest version kites so I guess get another hose and/or fittings, at least the pump itself is fine. Hit your local dealer up.

I know what you mean, little force needed, amazing now these modern kites with the new valves work so well.

I got a 2017 14m Evo too and man, it's one of the easiest kites to pump up bar none. I thought my Ozone was easy until the Evo turned up. I've been using my Ozone branded pump and hose to pump up the Evo and although it connects firmly, it does hiss a little (ie no o-ring thingy) but seeing as it pumps up so quickly, a couple extra pumps to compensate is no biggie.

See what your dealer says and let us know.

Just travelled in WA with a guy who had a 2017 North Neo, pump hoses from Ozone pumps def do not fit, only his North hose would work (on either pump). I did not notice any difference between pumps though as far as effort or speed goes (or anything else)
The Ozone pump hose end is too large to fit into the North valve on the leading edge of the kite and I suspect all of the new non North hose ends are too as they are all essentially the same brand.
The north hose had a special end that fits neatly into the north kite valve with a silicone washer thing built into the hose end.

... yep,,, easiest way to swap between brands without hassles is just grab the North hose (ie hose with silicone washer thingy) and add the small fitting that fits on the Ozones perfectly to the end of the hose then just use correct fitting as needed.

@ Ozone kites: no worries, good advise but I never leave the hose in, never have. I always wrap hose around pump after use then use the pump leash hooked over handle to hold the lot together,,, keeps the hose from getting lost and attached without stress and also keeps the shaft locked in so sand doesn't stick to the shaft. I got taught a valuable lesson when travelling overseas, by some douche bag pin head who said, "I never travel mit my pump, I always borrow dem when I travel" who then borrowed the my pump (without asking I might add) and broke it then some a-hole stole my spare,,, not happy Jan. Now I hide it away all wrapped up.

I suspect the hoses Ozone use might be affected by heat, for some reason the heavier duty plastic cracks sooner than the thinner North hose. I don't think I'm rough with it but then again, I do use it a lot.

Haha I can totally believe that pump vampire story I've met a few 2868's like that myself, pump goes back inside my kite back at a certain spot where there are a lot of transient kiters.
I've not heard of any issues with the Ozone pump hose and to me they seem the same at most other brands (except North) and I've not heard of them splitting, could be heat related but it gets damn hot in WA and even round here and in Qld for sure.

The most annoying this that none of the brands have ever addressed is that the hoses cannot be purchased separately. I heard once that WFMG were going to do it but don't know if thats true now?
