Hey

I was wondering which kite brands still use multiple point inflation rather than the single point?

Cheers

The 2010 North Vegas still doesn't use a one pump system. Most of the kites in their range do though. I'm not sure why it is but it's still an awesome kite.

The kites that take the bashing are the kites with the multi inflate system.

Thanks guys.

Personally I would rather 10 minutes extra pumping up the kite on the beach than all the cocking around I currently do with one pump systems.

Any others?

Yeah I'm not fussed really. I've got a 10m rebel with one pump and 2 Vegas' with multipoint. All in all, takes maybe an extra minute when rigging up. Takes a lot more to replace the strut clips on a one pump kite if they break.

One pump is a pain in the butt when repairing bladders. Most of our customers just drop their kites into the shop for repair rather than repair themselves. In my opinion, I would prefer multi inflate, but as I start to grow older , the electric pump and a one pump system are becomming more of a luxury.

As for one pump saving you time, Bull crap, saves you squat really.

(I have always found that a multi inflate kite can be tuned to fly better, as you can put more pressure in the struts).

the 07 rebels had multi pump with instructions to pump the struts up harder (10 whatever units compared to 6 for the LE).

and I've heard the odd comment that the 07's were the choice of the rebs for that reason. (not that I can comment as ive only flown the 07's)

couldnt care less about 1 pump, i like my gear simple with less s*&t to break.

I like multipy point inflation as it is so much easier to pack the kite up nice and tight.

Single point inflation saves a whole minute or 2 setting up. Not really worth it IMO. Plus the hassle when you get a leak.

As ARSA said you can get the struts up nice and tight.

The Helix has the best of both worlds.. easy to inflate with one pump and easy to deflate due to all struts having dump valves. Bit slower than a usual 1-pump as you have to plug each strut before inflating.

Would hate to ever need to repair one but. [}:)]

whats so hard to fix 1pump bladders? all you do is take off a cable tie, pull the hose off and take the bladder out. it takes like 30 seconds to do this IF u need to.
ps. im talking about the SS style "onepump"

Yea, once you have traced the leak through five struts, one LE and ten hose points of failure plus an inflate and deflate valve. Easy if the leak is obvious but not if its a slow leak that takes an hour to make itself known. Then you have the simple task of disconnecting all of the strut hoses to get the LE bladder out, fix the leak and then reconnect it all. Simple, really.

My 07 F.One Tribal which has been sitting in my garage for a year needed repair and it took me about ten minutes this weekend. Why? Well it was a multi pump of course.
