i like rhys' reviews as he seems less likely to gloss over shortcomings than some other industry players. and on this basis it seems that despite best's claims to the contrary, the waroo is still (with my apologies to the ladies) "your girlfriend's kite" (their words not mine), just with heavy construction so that it won't be responsive for lightweights of either gender who use it at the bottom of its range.

i'm ashamed to have even asked about it in the same breath as the switchy, octane and xr.

Lol score! Yep - Budget kite of the range - great for the money, but if you really want to do the high end tricks then it will fall short... If you weigh under 75kg's dont bother with the 11 or 13, kites too heavy to get the most out of your bottom end...

I think i liked the 08 better in terms of bottom end performance. I'm still happy with waroos though. I'm not going to make it on the world tour no matter what I fly. I find waroos very user friendly. they do all i need them too very well. Am I girly?? i did just have a week out of the water due to a VERY sore thumb.... haha. each to their own. ps. that video review posted on steve's review is bad.... how's the first bit where it says about waves and there is basically none.. and then when it says about wakestyle..... oh well maybe not the best day to film.
